Our founder, Iranga Nagasinghe graduated with a Master's degree in Pure Mathematics from University of North Texas in 2005, and a Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics from Southern Methodist University in 2010 in Dallas, Texas. His doctoral research focused on Eigenvector computations applied to search engine algorithm optimizations and machine learning algorithms on large data structures, showcasing a deeper understanding of complex mathematical algorithms applied in solving real world problems. Besides his entrepreneurial ventures Iranga is an avid tennis player with a killer slice, a curious spiritual seeker, a classical melomaniac and a lover of world cuisines. His favorite travel food show is ‘Somebody Feed Phil’ and a great admirer of all the work done by Phil Rosenthal.

While working in the corporate world fresh out of school, Iranga was approached by one of his family members seeking assistance in inventing & optimizing technology for their own ecommerce operations. Recognizing the opportunity to bridge his mathematical prowess with digital technology in the ecommerce space, Iranga delved deeper into the online retail industry immersing himself in a practical environment with inventory handling, warehouse operations, marketplace integrations, sales & order management, customer service, repricing, shipping and fulfillment.

While developing simple yet effective, stand alone software tools Iranga realized the value and the need for a comprehensive solution to manage and improve the multifaceted operations in the retail industry. As a result he, along with his team of developers and technical staff established our software company, Data Steep LLC, in 2022 and seamlessly conglomerated the tools created over the years into one unified ecommerce inventory management solution, Dataleed. Today we offer, not only our software Dataleed, but also Managed Services technical expertise to assist our customers with their day-to-day online operations and optimizing all aspects of their business operations.
